Pregnancy, Birth, and After Birth are hard things to prepare for. Kendal Vaughn makes it just a little easier in her new book, First Comes Baby… Now what?
About the Book:
This book is a collection of material I have found over the years moms should know regarding delivery, newborns and the postpartum stage. This book is not just for the breastfeeding mom or the formula feeding mom. It is a book that can be enjoyed by any mom, even if this isn’t your first baby. It has information on how your partner can help, what to expect from your postpartum body both physically and mentally. I also share my personal stories along the way in hopes moms can better relate to what they are going through.
This is a great baby shower gift for all moms. This book dives deep into what to expect and how to decide what’s best for mom and baby. Follow on social media for presale links and release dates.
What Readers Are Saying
A Must-Have Read for Any New Mom or Mom-to-Be!
This book was such a breath of fresh air! I loved reading about the personal stories and experiences of the author, not only from the mom perspective but also from her professional point of view as a nurse and IBCLC. As someone who struggled with breastfeeding, the book provided such helpful tips while reminding me as a mom that not everyone is able to nurse – and that you should not feel guilty about caring for your baby in the best way possible to ensure they are healthy above all else. I highly recommend this book for any new moms or moms-to-be! I will definitely be purchasing more for baby shower gifts in the future.
Wish I had this sooner!
I have a 6 month old and I so wish I had gotten this book last year! All the books I read made me feel overwhelmed and like I was failing if I didn’t follow their guidelines. I can’t tell you how many tears I’ve cried feeling like I’m not doing anything right. One of the first things in this book is how all babies are different and there is not a one size fits all. As a first time mom I needed to hear that. The book is soooo informative without being overwhelming. She gives great advice that feels simple and manageable. I also love how there is room to take notes and make lists. I have a couple friends who are pregnant and I will definitely be giving this to them! I was asked to write an honest opinion after reading the manuscript. But after reading it I highly recommend it to all moms!
Well Written and Easy to Read!
My favorite part about the book is the author sharing her personal experiences. She shares what she did throughout her motherhood journey that wasn’t so perfect, which makes you feel like you are going through this experience with a supportive friend. It gives you the confidence to tackle so many difficult stages of your baby’s life without the pressure to be perfect.
